Reveal Brethren links, (Australian) PM told.

Australian public broadcaster ABC in it's "Four Corners" current affairs show has claimed that a front company for members of The Exclusive Brethren sect has funded advertisements supporting the Australian Liberal Party and smearing its opponents.

This is significant as PM Howard met with the group privately earlier this year and then refused to divulge the contents of the meeting. My Aug 22nd Blogger post has more on this.

From the ABC Web Site:
http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2007/10/16/2060390.htm
"It's of real concern that the Prime Minister was prepared to meet these people on August 8 just this year in the lead-up to this federal election campaign and that he has refused to disclose what was discussed at that meeting."

This may end up being a real hot potato for PM Howard to deal with, especially since he is behind in the polls.
